Rob De

Rob is the founder of rocket boy 55, which was started shortly after his departure from Johnny Toymaker back in 2002. Switching instruments from drums to guitar and writing most of the songs has been a challenge for both himself and fellow band members, but the direction and drive has never lost intensity. Rob has no intentions of slowing down the momentum of RB55, writing and recording constantly under his own startup record label "Grease Lightning Records." The goal is to release an album annually. Rob also plays drums in the band This Holiday Season, a Milwaukee based Indie band.

The purpose of rocket boy 55 is to bring back honest, modest, good old-fashioned indie/punk music like he remembers enjoying so much as a kid growing up in Waukesha. It seems along the way bands in the Milwaukee scene have lost what indie music is supposed to be about and Rob intends to remind them.
